Dementia Praecox is a five-member instrumental band from Poznań, Poland, operating at the intersection of post-rock, post-metal, and noise-driven experimentation.

The band's original compositions are the result of musical explorations in the areas of alternative culture.

The band has been operating with a changing lineup for many years, simultaneously pursuing a side project called Czwarta Ściana (formerly Wtorek).
